suggest and use the typed voicings shown below:
Chord names and fret positions are relative to the capo:
D = 000000 B = 000000 Aadd11 = 040300 G2/D = 020100
D5 = 000300 C6sus2 = 030300 Bm13/D = 020200 Gmadd9/D = 010100
Bm9 = 440300 F6 = 330300 Em11 = 220100 G2 = 550500
Gmadd9 = 550400 A7sus/D = 002100 A4 = 770700
As so often happens, getting the right chord name in an alternate tuning
is difficult, made more difficult by some names not being acceptable to
this site.
Those names are incomprehensible to me, so I couldn't learn this until I
replaced all the chord names with a code I invented after memorizing all
the voicings. Here's the code I used, if it helps:
I-0 for D
I-1 for B
I-2 for Aadd11
I-3 for G2/D
I-4 for D5
I-5 for C6sus2
I-6 for Bm13/D
I-7 for Gmadd9/D
4 for Bm9
3 for F6
2 for Em11
5 for G2
5m for Gmadd9
0 for A7sus/D
7 for A4
In this, the letter "I" stands for "Intro", and the codes that are just
numbers name the fret on which the 6th and 5th strings are played. It
helped me to play those using an "E" shape formation all the way down the
neck, sometimes using the pinky to avoid switching fingers (e.g., for
codes 4, 3, 2, 5 and 5m).
NOTE: For the B chord, quickly strum all strings as a harmonic at the 12th
fret (relative to the capo).
