How Long, Diana?
From Banging Down the Doors (2007)
Ezra Furman & the Harpoons
The song is originally in Db minor (chords Dbm/A/E/B)
This version is in Em, but I like it on capo 4 (Ab minor) for female singers.
I prefer these chord shapes because they sound very distinct if you emphasize
low strings on Em/G
and high strings on C/D.

Ezra might be playing the second chord as a 7th chord but either sounds fine.
If you want to spice it up, you can do a key change intermittently (I do it
when the chorus changes
to include "Diana") where the chord pattern is Am/F/C/G. This is up by a 4th,
it sounds bright.
I also occasionally use the chord pattern from the bridge for variety.
Above is the strumming pattern I use, but the original uses something like
d du du d d d

It sounds good with some picking and playing around. Sometimes leading up
the strumming pattern up above, with everything accented.

In the choruses with "Diana" Ezra starts vocalizing while the background
singers say the line.
This is in (parentheses).
Chords with * should be strummed once.
