It sounds like the introduction is done using a device to bow the strings
rather than plucking or strumming but the notes you hear make up a Gmaj7
chord
shape--it's actually Cmaj7 with the capo, but this tab is written with the
capo on 5 and using chord shapes in the key of G, so the rest of this tab
will
show what to play as if capo 5 was fret zero.
The first notes you hear are the F#, B, and G in that order (relative to the
capo)
You can lightly strum from the high string to the lower strings starting with
one
string, then two, and then three strings.
For the intro, Gmaj7 = xxx002
D7/F# = 2x0x1x
Em7 = 0x0x3x
G = 3x0003 or 3x0033
After the light strumming of Gmaj7, he begins picking over a G chord
alternating
the thumb between low E string and the D string. The first chord change is
from
G to Em7 as shown below followed by D7/F# and then back to G. He picks the G
chord
in various ways but always keeps the thumb pattern going from the 6th string
to the
4th string.
